Former LSU football star quarterback Jayden Daniels continues to set records.
Daniels won Rookie of the Week for the 10th time after a heroic performance to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in week 16. Daniels is the first player to take home the award on ten occasions.
Daniels is the heavy favorite to take home the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award after being selected as the No. 2 overall pick in May.
Through 15 games, Daniels has thrown for 3,303 yards and tossed 22 touchdowns. He’s continued to make an impact on the ground with 737 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.
Per PFF, Daniels’ offensive grade of 88.8 ranks No. 5 among NFL quarterbacks.
To LSU fans, Daniels’ production is no surprise. He joined the 3,000/1,000 club in his final year with the Tigers, throwing for over 3,000 yards while rushing for 1,000. Daniels led the country with 11.4 yards per pass and 8.4 yards per run.
Next up for Washington is a home meeting with the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Dec. 29.
