Former LSU linebacker Patrick Queen signed his rookie deal with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday.
The Ravens selected Queen with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. The deal is worth $12.2 million over four years, with a $6.4 millions signing bonus.
Queen became a leader on the Tigers’ defense his final two seasons in Baton Rouge. In 2019, he finished with 85 total tackles with 12 tackles for loss, three sacks and one interception.
He played a monumental role in keeping pressure on Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the National Championship, which propelled LSU to a 42-25 win.

Over the span of his three-year collegiate career, Queen totaled 131 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, four sacks and one interception. He played at LSU from 2017-2019, recording a stellar career that led to his name being called in the first round of this year’s draft.
The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the more dominant defenses in the NFL over the past 20 years, with former linebacker Ray Lewis staking his claim as one of the best to ever play the position in the NFL.
Queen will bring leadership and a powerful football mindset to a Ravens team that will be on the hunt for their third Super Bowl championship in 20 seasons.
The former Tigers great could play alongside veterans Pernell McPhee and Matt Judon at the linebacker spot for the Ravens. Baltimore is coming off a 14-2 season in which they were destined for the Super Bowl, until a loss in the playoffs shuttered those hopes.
Queen could be an immediate starter for the Ravens, and could potentially become one of the top rookies in the NFL for the 2020 season.
