Former LSU defensive lineman transfer reunites with Dan Mullen at new school

An LSU defensive tackle is reuniting with Dan Mullen out west

Ex-LSU defensive lineman Jalen Lee announced his next team on Monday.

The former Tiger will play his final season of eligibility at UNLV, per a post from his X account. Lee played under new Rebels’ head coach Dan Mullen at Florida for one season before transferring to LSU. He will follow his former coach in his new role in Las Vegas.

Lee signed with the Gators as a four-star recruit in the 2020 class. He was the No. 17 recruit in Louisiana and No. 41 at his position. Through three seasons, he totaled 25 appearances, including four starts, 19 tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack.

The Watson, LA native transferred to his home state school ahead of the 2023 season and made two tackles in his first season donning the purple and gold. He saw 38 snaps through four games in 2024 but never established himself as a contributor due to injury and depth at the position.

The Tigers lost a large contingent of interior defensive linemen to the transfer portal. However, LSU feels good about the potential of Dominick McKinley and Ahmad Breaux.
