Former LSU cornerback Denver Harris enters transfer portal for third time

A former five-star SEC defensive back is in the transfer portal for a third time

A former LSU football cornerback and five-star recruit is planning to enter the transfer portal for a third time.

[autotag]Denver Harris[/autotag], who was a member of Texas A&M’s stacked 2022 class, spent one year with the Aggies before landing at LSU.

After one season with the Tigers, Harris transferred to UTSA.

According to On3, Harris was the No. 22 overall recruit and No. 2 ranked cornerback in the class of 2022. ESPN and Rivals also ranked Harris in the top five at his position.

Harris made an immediate impact with Texas A&M as a true freshman, allowing just four catches in 98 coverage snaps. That made Harris one of the top portal players on the market last year, but he never quite found his footing at LSU.

Harris played just six games with the Tigers before jumping back in the portal.

At UTSA, Harris was a constant part of the rotation but made just two starts. He made eight stops and recorded two pass breakups in 2024, according to PFF.
