Moments after LSU Tigers quarterback Max Johnson decided to enter the transfer portal, his younger brother Jake decided to decommit and re-open his recruitment. The thought was they would be a package deal to their next school. If that is indeed the case, we may know where the older Johnson could be headed after Jake pledged to another SEC school.
It appears that Jake Johnson won’t be too far away and could be seen at Tiger Stadium in 2023 as he opted to commit to Texas A&M. He would likely get some early action if Jalen Wydermyer heads to the NFL draft after the season.

With Jake heading to College Station, could Max opt to head there through the transfer portal? The Aggies recently found out that this year’s starter for most of the season Zach Calzada would be heading out. They do have five-star quarterback Connor Weigman and Haynes King on the roster but Johnson has the starting experience.
