Former LSU assistant Joe Brady may be a candidate for the Saints head coaching gig

A former LSU football assistant has a chance to return to Louisiana.

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported the New Orleans Saints requested to interview Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator [autotag]Joe Brady.[/autotag]

Brady gained his profile on LSU’s staff in 2019, where he served as LSU’s offensive coordinator alongside Steve Ensminger. Together, the two coordinated one of the best offenses in college football history as LSU went 15-0 and won a national title.

The offense featured Heisman-winning quarterback [autotag]Joe Burrow[/autotag] along with dynamic receivers Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase.

Brady’s work with LSU earned him the OC job with the Carolina Panthers. It didn’t work out for Brady there, but he got another chance in Buffalo.

The Bills offense was among the best in the NFL in 2024 with quarterback Josh Allen considered the favorite to win MVP.

Young offensive minds are sought after in the NFL, and Brady fits that billing.

It wouldn’t be his first stint in New Orleans as he worked under Sean Payton prior to working at LSU.
