Former Kentucky wide receiver signs with the Carolina Panthers

Former Kentucky Wildcats receiver Tayvion Robinson signs as a free agent with the Carolina Panthers.

The Carolina Panthers have signed former Kentucky wide receiver Tayvion Robinson to a contract. Robinson signed with the Baltimore Ravens in April as an undrafted free agent but he was waived by them on June 26th.

In two seasons at Kentucky, Tayvion Robinson had 81 catches for 1,049 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

In his three years prior to that at Virginia Tech and he had 194 catches for 2,604 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns. He also had 67 career punt returns for 639 yards and a score.

Last senior season , Robinson caught 41 passes for 552 yards and four touchdowns for the Wildcats.

He has experience as a punt returner, which could help him catch onto the Panther’s 53-man roster or practice squad at the conclusion of training camp.

He returned a total of 67 punts in college at an average 9.5 per attempt. Robinson provided excitement for the Wildcats, and the Panthers hope he can the same for them.
