Former Jets wide receiver Demaryius Thomas has died at the age of 33.
Roswell, Georgia police said that Thomas was found dead in his home Thursday night. Police indicated that the former receiver may have died from a medical issue, according to ESPN’s Jeff Legwold. LaTonya Bonseigneur, a close cousin who considered herself a sister, told The Associated Press that the family believes Thomas died from a seizure.
Thomas was a two-time All-Pro, five-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion with the Broncos. He spent the 2019 season with the Jets after New York acquired him from the Patriots in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Thomas appeared in 11 games in his lone season with the Jets, catching 36 passes for 433 yards and a touchdown.

Despite only spending one season in New York, Thomas made an impact on the Jets and those around him.
This one hurts. DT was one of the most genuine, kind-hearted people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Taken way too soon..Rest easy DT ♥️💫

I am devastated right now. We spoke back in 2019 and you told me how excited you were to be a NY Jet. You gave my son a high five during pre-game. Appreciate you making his day. You were a great player. Prayers to you and your family. Rest Easy! @DemaryiusThomas pic.twitter.com/0EQQZndA0p
