A former Nebraska wide receiver has announced that he will be continuing his college career and playing in Seattle this season. Will Nixon announced on Wednesday that he would be joining the Washington Huskies to play receiver and running back. The former high school running back was one of two receivers from the Lone Star State in the 2020 Husker recruiting class, the other being Omar Manning.
Nixon’s career never took off in Lincoln as he suffered a season-ending injury during summer workouts his first year on campus and missed the 2020 campaign. In 2021, he only played in three games for the Cornhuskers and recorded one catch for five yards in Nebraska’s 56-7 victory over Northwestern.
