Former Georgia star is the NFL’s highest-graded rookie

Former Georgia football defensive lineman has the highest PFF grade of any rookie in the NFL

Former Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman Jalen Carter is making waves with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. In fact, Carter has Pro Football Focus’ highest-grade of any rookie in the NFL through first 13 weeks of the season. Carter has a grade of 89.9.

Carter has made an instant impact for Philadelphia as a rookie. Carter has 4.0 sacks and 26 total tackles after Week 13. The Eagles have the best record in the NFL at 10-2.

Carter, who was once considered the top prospect in the draft, slid in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft. It worked out well for Carter, who was the No. 9 pick of the draft. He found a perfect fit with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have several of Carter’s former Georgia Bulldog teammates and one of the best pass rushes in the NFL.

Carter will go down as one of the steals of the 2023 NFL draft if he keeps up this level of play.

Georgia football fans should watch the Eagles play the Dallas Cowboys (9-3) on Dec. 10 at 8:20 p.m. ET. The Eagles and Cowboys are battling for NFC East supremacy.
