Former Georgia Bulldog Todd Gurley finds new home

Todd Gurley, a former Georgia Bulldog, has signed a one year deal with the Atlanta Falcons.

Todd Gurley did not waste much time finding a team following the Rams’ surprising release of their talented running back. Gurley has signed a one year deal with the Atlanta Falcons.

Gurley is beloved by Georgia Bulldog fans and will be a fan favorite for Atlanta Falcons fans. His jersey will be one of the bestsellers on the team despite his one-year contract.

Jordan Schultz first reported the news:

Gurley is rejoining his former Los Angeles Rams teammate Dante Fowler in Atlanta. Gurley is the first Georgia Bulldog star to play for the Falcons in some time. He’s signing a one-year $5 million deal (per Zach Klein). It will be a prove it season for Gurley, who will look to prove the Rams wrong and show the NFL he can still play at an elite level.

Gurley will do his best to replace running back Devonta Freeman in Atlanta. Running backs aren’t valued as much in today’s NFL. Teams are acknowledging their short shelf life now more than ever.
