With UF’s spring practice schedule in the books, now’s the time when players who aren’t happy with their role on the team heading into the fall look for greener pastures. Eight Florida players had entered the transfer portal since the 2020 season began, and on Wednesday, redshirt freshman cornerback Jahari Rogers made it nine, according to multiple reports.
Ranked as the No. 8 cornerback in the country and No. 87 player overall on the 247Sports composite, the Arlington native was the Gators’ fourth-highest ranked signee in the 2020 class. The former four-star recruit from Texas saw action in three games this season, first against Missouri without recording a stat and then in the final two games against Alabama in the SEC Championship and Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl.
