Former Eagles LT Jason Peters agrees to a deal with the Bears

Jason Peters is back in the NFL, as the legendary former Eagles left tackle has agreed to a deal with the Chicago Bears per Jeremy Fowler.

Chicago is scrambling to find a left tackle after second-round draft pick Teven Jenkins, who was supposed to win the competition for the position, missed all eight practices with a back injury that could be more concerning than previously stated.

Peters had previously indicated that he wanted to continue with his career and chase a ring with a playoff-caliber team.

Peters had played the last 12 seasons in Philadelphia after five years in Buffalo. After sitting unsigned for months last summer, he returned to take Brandon Brooks’ place at right guard.
