Carson Wentz had a nightmare performance in the Eagles first matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, as he was credited with four of the Eagles’ five turnovers. Wentz threw two interceptions and was credited with losing two fumbles, and another that the Eagles recovered.
The Eagles suffered another loss in Week 13 to the Dolphins, but Wentz improved, going 28 of 46 for 310 yards, 3 touchdowns, and one interception.
After the loss to Miami, Wentz led the Eagles to four straight wins, and in those victories, he was 117 of 173 for 1,199 yards, 7 touchdowns, and no interceptions.
On a recent episode of the Ryen Russillo Podcast, Long gave some amazing insight into what changed for Wentz and why he was able to take the Eagles on this incredible run.

“I think the best thing Carson did about a month ago that preceded this run was he accepted he had to manage games. And you can still be spectacular and manage games. You can still have that moment where you roll right and throw across your body and make that jaw-dropping throw at the goal line. You can have those moments. But manage the game. And that’s what he’s done. And he’s been killing it, man.”
Wentz will start his first career playoff game on Sunday when the Eagles host the Seattle Seahawks for the second time this season.
