Jared McCain, the sharpshooting Duke freshman who took the NCAA Tournament by storm, received an invite to attend the NBA draft with his family.

Duke basketball star [autotag]Jared McCain[/autotag] received an invite to the NBA draft green room on Friday, according to a report from ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.

Givony said his sources said McCain and his family received the invite.

The 6-foot-3 guard connected on more than 41% of his 3-pointers last season and put up at least 30 points in three different games, including two in the NCAA Tournament. He set school records for the most 3-pointers made by a freshman in a regular-season game (eight against Florida State) and the most 3-pointers made by any Blue Devil in a March Madness game (eight against James Madison in the second round).

McCain ended the season with 14.3 points per game and 5.0 rebounds. Despite his frame, he put together four double-doubles during his freshman season. He finished his first game against North Carolina with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and he buried at least four triples in seven games.

The former Blue Devil also earned praise after a 3-point shooting performance at the combine with scouts praising the repeatability of his form.
