This going to take some getting used to. The Las Vegas Raiders signed former Miami Dolphins linebacker Quentin Poling yesterday — ensuring that the former Dolphins linebacker will not return to South Florida any time soon.
We have signed free agent LB Quentin Poling.

Poling, who was originally a 7th-round selection by the Dolphins in the 2018 NFL Draft, spent his entire first season in South Florida with the Dolphins but failed to make the 53-man roster that year. He was cut again before the start of the 2019 season and proceeded to latch onto the Raiders’ practice squad, where he spent most of the year before appearing in one game with Oakland as a special teams contributor.
Poling will go down as a swing and a miss for Miami — but remember that anything after the 4th or 5th round of any NFL Draft equates to a total shot in the dark and roll of the dice. NFL teams bat a very low percentage that late in the draft, so more than anything else Miami’s selection of Poling fell as par for the course.
