Former Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams is out for the rest of the year with an injury, according to multiple reports.
Williams went down with a knee injury in the Los Angeles Chargers’ game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday and had to be carted off the field. One day later, an MRI confirmed that he will miss the remainder of the 2023 season with a torn ACL.
The former first-round pick will finish the year with 19 receptions for 249 yards and one touchdown. Before he was carted off in the fourth quarter, Williams was having a great day against the Vikings, as he finished with 121 yards and one score on seven receptions.
Williams played at Clemson from 2013 to 2016 and was the Tigers’ leading receiver during the team’s national championship run in 2016. He is also fourth in all-time receiving yards in Clemson’s history.
