Former Clemson football wide receiver E.J. Williams is no longer part of Indiana’s football program, according to multiple reports. Williams, who transferred from Clemson, has been removed from Indiana’s roster and has reportedly parted ways with the team.
In what was supposed to be his final year of eligibility, Williams caught just two passes for 49 yards this season. However, since he only appeared in four games, he remains eligible to redshirt and potentially use another year.
Williams initially entered the transfer portal in December 2022, announcing shortly after that he would join the Hoosiers. During his time at Indiana, injuries limited his contributions, with Williams recording 23 catches for 281 yards across eight games in 2023.
A former four-star recruit from Phenix City, Alabama, Williams spent three seasons at Clemson from 2020-2022. During his time there, he caught 40 passes for 442 yards and two touchdowns while appearing in 33 games, including six starts.
