Former Clemson standout Billy Amick has been drafted in the 2024 MLB draft.
With the 60th pick in the second round of the draft, Amick was drafted by the Minnesota Twins. At one point considered a first-round pick in the draft and most recently ranked No. 32 overall on the Top 250 Draft Prospects List heading into the draft. Amick slid slightly but ultimately landed with a strong draft slot.
The former Tiger transferred to play for the Tennessee Volunteers after a 2023 season where he hit 13 home runs and 63 RBIs for Clemson. Helping lead the Vols to their first-ever National Championship win in 2024, Amick hit 23 home runs with 65 RBIs as one of the team’s top players.
