Former Clemson defensive tackle Tre Williams has found his next destination, announcing his commitment to Michigan during a visit to Ann Arbor on Saturday.
Williams, a graduate senior, spent five seasons at Clemson, where he was a reliable contributor on the defensive line. Over his career with the Tigers, he recorded 35 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four sacks, and two passes defended.
In the 2024 season, Williams played a key role in Clemson’s defensive rotation, appearing in 300 snaps and making three starts. He posted solid numbers last year, including 16 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries.
With one year of eligibility remaining, Williams now joins Michigan, bringing a wealth of experience to the Wolverines’ defensive front. His versatility and veteran presence are expected to provide a significant boost as Michigan looks to remain a national contender.
