Isaiah Thomas is one of the most exciting players the Boston Celtics have had in recent memory. At the peak of his powers, he was a near 30-point-per-game scorer in Boston.
Injuries have limited the two-time all-star since the 2016-17 season, playing in 40 games just once in the four seasons since. He played just three games all of last season.
After eclipsing 2500 minutes in each of 2015-16 and 2016-17 for the Celtics, Thomas has played just a total of 2,016 NBA minutes over the last four years.
The 5-foot-9 point guard was linked to a move overseas to CSKA Moscow in Moscow, Russia by Keith Smith in a since-deleted tweet Wednesday morning. Thomas denied the report in a subsequent tweet, saying “No sir not me!!! I will not be going overseas. Wrong Isaiah.”

Deleted the tweet about Isaiah Thomas possibly signing with CSKA. It's not long-time NBA veteran and former Celtic Isaiah Thomas that is under consideration for CSKA (as confirmed by the man himself!) and it was causing confusion.

A video surfaced of Thomas dropping 81 points in a pro-am game in early August. Another video of an emotional Thomas was published by Slow Grind Media after the game. There were reports of Thomas getting a tryout with the Los Angeles Lakers also came out in August, so there is still potential he could suit up for an NBA team once again.
