Former Cardinals UDFA suspended 3 games

Free agent WR Jeremiah Braswell was cut in June 2020 after being arrested for driving drunk. He now will be suspended three games.

On the NFL transaction list on Monday, there was a note that free agent Jeremiah Braswell was suspended for three games to start the 2021 season. Braswell was briefly with the Arizona Cardinals in 2020.

He signed as an undrafted rookie out of Youngstown State.

He wasn’t on the team long, as he was released at the end of June last year before training camp.

He had been arrested just two days before for suspicion of drunk driving after he drove his car off the road into Lake Erie.

Braswell has not been signed by another since the incident. He is eligible to sign and participate with a team in training camp and the preseason. His suspension will begin after rosters are cut down to 53 players.
