Former Bucs Super Bowl MVP Dexter Jackson to announce next Tampa Bay pick

Bucs fans will see a familiar face on TV during Day 2 of the draft.

It’s typically a tradition on Day 2 of the NFL draft for players and fans to announce draft picks instead of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. For 2023, Tampa Bay’s choice goes to a former Super Bowl MVP.

Not QB Tom Brady, though, who won it in 2020 — it’ll be S [autotag]Dexter Jackson[/autotag], who was given the honor in 2002 when the Bucs defeated the Raiders. Jackson announced on Twitter Friday that he will be at the podium for Tampa Bay’s next pick.

Jackson is a worthy representative for the Bucs, as he played over half of his ten-year career in Tampa Bay. He became the first safety to win Super Bowl MVP since 1973 when he picked off two of Rich Gannon’s passes against the Raiders in San Diego.
