The National Basketball Association draft combine is coming up next week in Chicago. 78 players have been invited to the event between stars in the college game, and G-League prospects. Those 78 players were announced, and UCLA big man Adem Bona was invited among a lot of other big names.
Bona, 6’10 from Nigeria spent two seasons with the Bruins. He played in 66 games at UCLA and increased his scoring from his freshman year to his sophomore campaign. He shot 58.8% from the field this season and ripped down nearly 6 rebounds per game.
Bona had a big game to finish the regular season with 20 points and 12 rebounds against Arizona State. Then in the first game of the Pac-12 tournament, he scored 17 against Oregon State. It was a frustrating end for Bona, as he recorded just 8 points in 17 minutes in the 2-point loss to Oregon.
