Former Browns LB won’t get his homecoming in Week 17

Anthony Walker Jr., who spent 2021-2023 with the Browns, will not play against his former team this weekend

It was announced that current Miami Dolphin and former  Cleveland Browns linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. will not play against his former team in Week 17.

The former Cleveland Browns middle linebacker is currently dealing with a knee injury that popped up this week during the Dolphins practice period. The Browns are not the only team with injury ailments.

In his first season since departing from Cleveland, he is currently third on Miami’s total tackles list with 68 in his impressive Dolphins season debut. He has paired very well with other linebackers and current Dolphins leading tackler, Jordyn Brooks.

Walker Jr. Had a rough go of injuries during his time in Cleveland but made good use of his snaps when he could see the field. The three-year Browns veteran totaled 170 tackles in only 28 games for the franchise.

Although nobody wants to see another player injured, the Browns can breathe easy knowing that his possible game-changing presence will not impact their offensive game plans this Sunday.
