Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson isn’t a stranger to helping out others on social media. Praised by the Bengals as a strong ambassador for the team this offseason, he’s also not a stranger to making big-time headlines at all points of the year.
This time Johnson’s efforts have gained national attention again as he straight-up hands out cash to his followers, dubbing the effort his own form of “stimulus checks” for random followers.
Johnson had joked about such an idea in the days before the calendar turned to July, even jabbing followers for knowing better than to question something he’s done consistently.
Then he delivered:
If you were a loyal follower you wouldn’t be questioning what you’ve seen me do countless times over a decade 🧐 https://t.co/6T9kiA7tMd

Kudos to Johnson for the efforts. The next time we hear from him, it might be because he’s working out with Bengals rookie wideout Tee Higgins.
