Former Bengals player loves the team signing Lawrence Guy

One former player loves what the Bengals added to the defense.

Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Mike Daniels loves the team’s signing of veteran Lawrence Guy in free agency.

Seeking emergency depth ahead of the Week 3 game against the Washington Commanders, the Bengals signed Guy and made a flurry of other roster moves.

Daniels, who spent 2020 and 2021 with the Bengals, wrote the following on social media: “This is HUGE for the Bengals. They aren’t very stout up front right now and this will shore up the toughness and gap control in the run. Not to mention the true veteran presence and super bowl pedigree that he brings!”

An endorsement from Daniels, one of social media’s favorite Begnals of the past few years, will mean a lot with fans.

Guy has this endorsement and a long, successful resume as he joins the 53-man roster. The Bengals currently haven’t revealed the status of starters B.J. Hill and Sheldon Rankins after Week 2 injuries and rookies McKinnley Jackson and Kris Jenkins Jr. are dealing with issues of their own, too.
