In NFL circles, besides the Super Bowl, Joe Burrow is perhaps the hottest topic of all right now.
The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback and national champion may not be at the Senior Bowl, but his feats and the fact he’s likely headed to the Cincinnati Bengals first overall cement the status.
And even non-Bengals are getting in on the action of commenting on Burrow — including a guy quite familiar to Bengals faithful, Andrew Whitworth.
A guy with Bengals and LSU connections of his own, Whitworth offered up a brief, albeit telling comment about the likely No. 1 pick to Elise Jesse of WLWT:
Former #Bengal OT Andrew Whitworth on fellow Tiger Joe Burrow, “He’s special, his teammates want him to do well”.

Whitworth himself is an interesting conversation right now because he’s scheduled to be a free agent and if he wants to keep playing, the Bengals could use help in the offensive trenches — provided the front office could mend the wounds of the last split.
But as for Burrow, the comment meshes well with what most players and coaches so far have said about the quarterback when it comes to his ability to lead those around him.
While this is nothing more than a small comment, fans know Whitworth and the contents of the message are simply another tossed atop a pile of ever-growing praise for the guy who could be the next franchise passer for the Bengals.
