Former Cincinnati Bengals seventh-round pick Wyatt Hubert has announced he’s returning to football after a brief retirement.
Hubert, selected late by the Bengals in 2021 out of Kansas State, missed all of his rookie season due to a torn pec.
At the time of his retirement, Hubert had cited his health for the reasoning. Now at 24 years old, he announced the following on social media: “I Have decided to come out of retirement after being retired since August of 2022.”
At the time of his retirement, Hubert had had a shot at the final roster in Cincinnati due to the need for pass-rushing depth.
The Bengals terminated Hubert’s contract, according to the league’s transaction wire issued on Wednesday.
