The first NFL Sunday of the year is now exactly three weeks away with teams currently filling their rosters and preparing to move into the season without any preseason games.

In their season preparation today the Green Bay Packers tried out former Wisconsin Badger wide receiver A.J. Taylor.

Taylor played at Wisconsin from 2016-2019 and as Badger fans probably remember had his career cut a few games short after he tore his achilles during the Badgers’ regular season finale against Minnesota last season.

The Kansas City, Missouri native finished his college career with 42 games played, 89 receptions, 1316 yards and 10 touchdowns. His most productive season came as a junior when he caught 32 balls for team-high 521 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Though Taylor was not drafted this past April he now is getting a shot at making an NFL roster.

Check back in to BadgersWire in a few days to see if Taylor makes the cut and becomes a Green Bay Packer.
