Former Wisconsin Badger linebacker T.J. Watt just got paid, big-time.
After reports of a contract dispute between him and the Pittsburgh Steelers surfaced earlier this week, news dropped minutes ago that Watt signed a new contract with the team that makes him the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL.

As the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport notes, the contract is a 4-year extension worth more than $112million—averaging out to more than $28million per year.
Watt began his career at Wisconsin as a tight end, and eventually switched to the defensive side of the football after struggling to stay healthy.
Now, after four NFL seasons that included three Pro Bowls and two first-team All-Pro honors, Watt is the highest-paid defensive player in the league .
