Daron Payne’s successful collegiate career at Alabama helped him land a first-round NFL contract with the Washington Redskins back in 2018.

With that comes financial security for both Payne and his family. The former Crimson Tide defensive lineman used some of his financial gains to gift his mother her dream house.

Another former defensive lineman from the state of Alabama helped Payne with the home-buying process.

Bryant Turner Jr., a real estate agent who starred at UAB and the Canadian Football League, took to Facebook on Saturday to show his gratitude for getting to help change the life of Payne’s mother:

The Redskins drafted Payne with the No. 13 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Since then, he’s teamed up with another former first-round, Alabama defensive lineman, Jonathan Allen, to give Washington a formidable duo along its defensive front.

In two seasons, the 6-foot-3, 320-pound Payne has played in 31 regular season games with 25 starts. He’s also accumulated 67 tackles, seven sacks, five pass deflections and one forced fumble during that time.

Seeing a player living out his dream while taking care of his family is always a welcomed sight, especially when the news broke only hours before several other former Tide standouts participate in the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
