Former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs agreed to return to the Las Vegas Raiders on a one-year deal worth $ 12 million dollars. The two sides reached an agreement on Saturday morning.

Jacobs held out during the offseason after the Raiders placed the franchise tag on him. He and his agent were optimistic that a long-term deal would be reached during the offseason, but things fell through.

Jacobs had the best season of his professional career in 2022. He led the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards. Following the season, Jacobs was named to his second Pro Bowl and was named the winning recipient of the Jim Brown Award.

Jacobs was a workhorse at running back during his Alabama career. He has continued that success in the NFL. If Jacobs performs at a high level in 2023, it will be hard for the Raiders to not sign him to a long-term deal.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow former Alabama players in the NFL.
