Nebraska received more help on the defensive line this season with the commitment of former Alabama end Stephon Wynn. The 4-star recruit out of Florida will have two years of eligibility remaining. The pass rusher played his first three prep seasons in South Carolina before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Before selecting Alabama, he received offers from Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Michigan.
Wynn joins edge rusher Ochaun Mathis, and defensive tackle Devin Drew as the third player to join the Husker’s defense in 2022 via the transfer portal. The three new additions should help replace the loss of linemen Jordon Riley and Casey Rogers, who transferred to Oregon to join former Husker defensive line coach Tony Tuioti.
