Former Alabama LB Demouy Kennedy making noise in first Buffs camp

Colorado LB coach Andre’ Hart has been impressed by Demouy Kennedy’s speed

The list of transfers for the Colorado Buffaloes football team is a massive one. However, one of the biggest names is linebacker Demouy Kennedy, who came to Boulder from Alabama along with defensive coordinator Charles Kelly.

Kennedy is set to be a staple on the Buffs’ defense and early on, he has been impressing everybody at camp. Linebackers coach Andre’ Hart, for example, has loved what he has seen early on from Kennedy. When asked about Kennedy on Tuesday, Hart joked that his speed “gets me paid” and even brought up a rep where he undercut running back Dylan Edwards on a wheel route (h/t Jake Schwanitz of DNVR Buffs).

With the way things have gone so far during camp, Kennedy shouldn’t have a problem finding playing time this year, and it helps that he already has familiarity with Kelly from his Crimson Tide days.

All eyes will be on the Buffs early on, and the defense is going to be an important part of the team’s success.
