With another day of rest being afforded to the Los Angeles Lakers after the Oklahoma City Thunder forced a Game 7 in their first round series against the Houston Rockets, perhaps another pizza party is in order for Frank Vogel and the Lake Show. According to Vogel, his regular pizza consumption has taken a serious hit. So while Tuesday is typically a taco day for LeBron James, Vogel might be due for some more pizza, after having a “pizza party” over the weekend.
After Monday’s practice, Vogel discussed that he’s at a bit of a “pizza deficit” in the bubble, according to SB Nation’s Harrison Faigen.
“We had a pizza party [on Sunday], which, I’m not getting enough pizza in my life in this bubble,: Vogel said. “I usually eat it at least once a week, and I’m at a little bit of a deficit for my pizza eating. So we had a pizza party last night.”
If all goes to plan for the Lakers and they make it to the NBA Finals, they’ll be there for six more weeks. So hopefully there will be a couple of more pizza parties in order along the way before Vogel can return home to some of his favorite pies outside the bubble.
