For The Win gives Sixers an A grade for their offseason additions

The Philadelphia 76ers receive another A for their offseason additions to the roster.

The bulk of the offseason moves in the NBA are just about finished and the Philadelphia 76ers have consistently been one of the teams at the top of the offseason boards in the NBA.

The Sixers made big additions such as PJ Tucker, Danuel House Jr., and De’Anthony Melton to the roster as all three players are expected to help Philadelphia move forward. Their skills are almost perfect fits for the Sixers as Tucker and House Jr. are top 3-and-D players in this league while Melton is a great fit for the bench unit.

Bryan Kalbrosky over at For The Win is also a fan of their moves and he gave Philadelphia an A in his offseason grades for all 30 teams:

The fact James Harden was willing to take a discount to return to the Sixers was a massive victory for Philly. This decision helped the organization sign PJ Tucker and Danuel House, and both of whom have had success playing alongside Harden in the past. I also love the addition of De’Anthony Melton, an ideal role player for this roster.

The Sixers should be considered serious contenders to make the NBA Finals.

Time will tell whether these moves will really pay off for the Sixers, but it does appear, on paper at least, that they were able to make the necessary improvements to the roster and continue to push forward on their chase for a title.
