For the next two hours, grade-schoolers had the opportunity to work and play with Oladipo. “We started all of a sudden seeing requests for people needing gear for a lot of these leagues and needing different equipment to get their league started with the way budgets are right now,” Smith explained. “So we thought about the idea, put our heads together and focused on finding a start-up league that could really use to help with new equipment and a lift to get the program going. “We wanted to make it a surprise, threw it to Victor and he was all on board because that stuff he likes to do and we rolled with it. We know Vic is really good with community stuff and likes working with kids.”
