Hey, it’s never easy to appear on live television. Just ask four-star football recruit Jalil Tucker’s father.
Tucker, a prospect out of San Diego in the class of 2022, was set to announce his college decision on live TV last week. And as is customary in these announcement events, the family was asked to offer their thoughts on the big news.
Tucker’s father, though, just briefly forgot that Jalil hadn’t announced his decision yet.
He said, “I’m happy for him. He’s a good kid. Lazy, but he’s a good kid. And I know he’s going to represent Oregon well.” Jalil’s dad immediately knew that he messed up.

Oh nooo.
The reactions were too good, especially considering he just joked about Jalil being lazy right before accidentally spoiling the announcement. We all know he meant well, though.
Given that the suspense of the decision was gone, Jalil went ahead and put on the Oregon hat. I’m sure the family will be laughing about that video for a long time.
