A pair of former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action Sunday in the NBA.
In Orlando, Jordan Bone, who did not play in the Magic’s previous two games, returned to the hardwood and played 15 minutes. The Magic were defeated, 107-104, to Charlotte at the Amway Center.
Bone, a two-way player for Orlando, scored eight points, pulled down one rebound and dished out one assist for the Magic (7-10).
The Magic and Hornets play again Monday in Central Florida with tipoff slated for 7 p.m. EST.
Meanwhile in Boston, former Volunteer Grant Williams scored two points, pulled down three rebounds in the Celtics’ 141-103 victory over Cleveland.
Williams, a power forward and 2019 first-round draft pick, logged 12 minutes of playing time for Boston (9-6).
The Celtics return to action Monday when they travel to Chicago to face the Bulls at 9 p.m, EST.
