Floyd Mayweather Jr. remembers Josie Harris as ‘friend, angel’

Floyd Mayweather Jr. remembered Josie Harris, the mother of three of his children, as his “friend” and “angel” days after her death.

Mayweather posted several photos of Harris on his Instagram page. He also called her his “rock” and his “love.’’

Mayweather was traveling in Europe when the death was reported, first by TMZ. Harris, 40, was found unresponsive in a car outside her residence in Valencia, California, at about 10 p.m. PT. According to multiple reports, police do not suspect foul play.

An active death investigation is underway, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed in multiple reports.

Mayweather and Harris dated each other for about 15 years, starting in 1995. He was convicted of domestic violence against her in 2010. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail. He served 60 days of the sentence at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas in 2012.

Harris filed a $20 million defamation suit against Mayweather. The civil suit remains unresolved.
