The Floyd of Rosedale is back where it belongs!
The Iowa Hawkeyes went on the road to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers in their Big Ten opener and took care of business with a 31-14 victory to reclaim the trophy in this rivalry game.
It took Iowa some time to get going, but once they got things rolling it was an avalanche of points and defensive stops in the second half that buried Minnesota and allowed Iowa to pull away.
The win moves Iowa to 3-1 overall, and 1-0 in Big Ten play, as they enter a bye week one-quarter of the way through their schedule. The win was a sweet one as the Hawkeyes battled through a first half that was not their best but rebounded with possibly their most complete half of the season to take over.
