Florida football’s senior defensive lineman [autotag]Cam Jackson[/autotag] revealed via social media on Monday that he was invited to the 2025 NFL scouting combine.

“Congratulations on being invited to participate in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine!” the image copy-pasted from his inbox began. “The Combine is an opportunity for you to show off your skills while interacting with NFL team personnel as they evaluate you in advance of the 2025 NFL Draft.”

Jackson, originally out of Haynesville, Louisiana, came to Gainesville in 2023 after spending his first three years with the Memphis Tigers. Thanks to the extra eligibility resulting from the COVID campaign in 2020, he had two seasons to offer the Orange and Blue — and he made the most of it.

His first season with Florida saw the 6-foot-6-inch, 342-pound defender start all 11 games he appeared in, logging 32 total tackles (18 solo) with one tackle for a loss and two pass deflections. Jackson earned the SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week honor thanks to his contributions to the Gators’ win over the Tennessee Volunteers in Week 3.

In 2024, he started in 11 of his 12 total appearances, recording 37 total tackles (14 solo), 4.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks and two pass breakups. Jackson received a season-high 77.5 grade from PFF after the win over the Florida State Seminoles and also an invite to the Senior Bowl.

He did not participate in Florida’s 33-8 win over the Tulane Green Wave in the Gasparilla Bowl.

Jackson appeared in nine games in 2020 for Memphis with an assisted tackle and a blocked kick before playing in all 12 games the next season, recording nine total tackles (six solo) along with three tackles for a loss including 1.5 sacks.

He took a big step forward in 2022, starting in all 13 games and earning Third-Team All-AAC from PFF thanks to 41 tackles (19 solo), 2.5 tackles for a loss, four quarterback hurries and one pass breakup. Jackson translated that success into an upgrade in scenery that offseason and the rest, as they say, is history.

The 2025 NFL scouting combine will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, from February 27 through March 2.
