Florida’s first daytime kickoff will come in Week 5 against the Kentucky Wildcats.
The SEC office announced game times for Sept. 30 on Monday and the Florida-Kentucky is getting one of two noon slots. Fans can watch the broadcast on either ESPN or the SEC Network. The SEC will pick between the UF game and the Texas A&M–Arkansas game after Week 4 action concludes.
Florida hosts Charlotte this week and is set for a 7 p.m. EDT kickoff. The odds of Florida losing its top-25 ranking in the AP poll are slim, but there’s no doubt that the Gators will have a target on their back when they head to Lexington.
The Wildcats have outscored Akron, Ball State and Eastern Kentucky, 107 -34, over the first three weeks of the season. They’ll likely continue that trend against Vanderbilt, whereas Florida has already faced two top-15 teams this year.
As for the rest of SEC on Week 5, Georgia at Auburn get the 3:30 p.m. EDT slot on CBS; Missouri at Vanderbilt will air on the SEC Network at 4 p.m.; LSU at Ole Miss is on ESPN at 6 p.m.; South Carolina at Tennessee rounds out the SEC Network slate at 7:30 p.m.; and Alabama at Mississippi will be on ESPN at 9 p.m.
