Florida football’s date with the South Florida Bulls this weekend continues to appear over the horizon as the big day creeps closer. In the meantime, the Gators are preparing for their third home game in a row to start the 2022 campaign after splitting the first pair matchups, with a win over the Utah Utes to start the schedule and a loss to the Kentucky Wildcats in opening SEC action.
The Bulls also enter the Swamp with a 1-1 record, having beaten the Howard Bisons at home during Week 1 before dropping its Week 2 road match with the BYU Cougars. Last season, the school from down I-75 won just two games while losing 10. This USF team is likely a better squad than the 2021 edition, but it is still lagging behind the upper echelon of college football.
Florida has won both previous matchups, in 2011 and last season, which were played at home and away, respectively. It appears the bookmakers are still extremely bullish on the home team making it three in a row this weekend.
