Florida vs South Carolina: Monday betting odds for Week 10 home game

Here are the early odds for Florida’s Week 11 game at home against South Carolina.

Florida football got back on the winning path last weekend against the Texas A&M Aggies on the road in a 41-24 victory to pull the team back over the .500 mark. Next up on the docket are the South Carolina Gamecocks, who come to town for this year’s Senior Day in the Swamp this Saturday.

The ‘Cocks enter the matchup a game better than the Gators overall with a 6-3 record while holding a slightly better mark in Southeastern Conference play at 3-3 against UF’s 5-4 and 2-4 records, respectively. The biggest difference between the two is South Carolina’s win over the Kentucky Wildcats, who beat Florida in Week 2 this season.

Florida holds an overwhelming edge in the all-time series with a 29-10-3 record that dates all the way back to 1911 when the two teams finished the game tied at 6-6 in Columbia. The two schools met off and on until 1939, after which they faced once in Gainesville during the 1964 season (a 37-0 win for UF) before the Gamecocks joined the SEC in 1990. Since 1992 — the first meeting as SEC foes — the Gators are 13-7 in the series, though they have evenly split the last 12 matchups.
