The big day has finally arrived as the Florida Gators get set to host the Kentucky Wildcats in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium for the second full week of college football action as well as the Southeastern Conference opener for both squads.
The Orange and Blue is ranked No. 19 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and No. 12 in the AP Poll coming into Saturday’s matchup after a huge upset win to open the schedule against the Utah Utes. Meanwhile, the boys from the Bluegrass State enter the Swamp ranked No. 20 in both polls after their Week 1 home win over Miami (Ohio), 37-13.
The two schools have split the last four meetings after Florida’s 31-game winning streak was snapped in 2018. Kentucky won the last meeting, 20-13, in Lexington, but it is traveling to Gainesville a bit short-handed due to injuries and suspensions this time around.
