Florida stays put in 247Sports SEC poll despite three-score win over Vandy

The Gators took care of business on Saturday against Vanderbilt, but beating the 14th-ranked team in the conference won’t move Florida up the latest 247Sports SEC poll.

Florida’s 38-14 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday didn’t move the needle for the 247Sports SEC poll voters following all of the Week 6 action around the conference.

The Gators are once again ranked ninth among the 14 SEC programs, according to writers from across the 247Sports network. Florida began the season ranked 10th and fell to 13th by Week 2. The win over Tennessee momentarily bumped UF up to the No. 5 spot, but the Kentucky loss has the program firmly outside the top 50% of the conference.

Fortunately, Florida is ranked ahead of both South Carolina and Arkansas, which are up soon on the schedule. The Gators travel to Columbia to face the Gamecocks this weekend, and the Razorbacks will visit the Swamp on Nov. 4.

The Florida-Georgia game is between those contests, and the Bulldogs are still the clear No. 1 in the SEC. They’ve secured all 15 first-place votes in this poll and will stay there until someone beats them.

Here’s a look at the complete list.
