Florida State opens college football with touchdown drive

Florida State scores a touchdown on the first drive of the college football season

Florida State showed Georgia Tech it can do the same thing it does in Ireland that it does in the States.

The Seminoles kicked off the college football season against the Yellow Jackets in Dublin and scored on their first drive.

Lawrance Toafili completed the march with a 28-yard TD run.

The seven-play, 75-yard drive took 4:02.

The Seminoles pulled the old swinging gate on the conversion and Brian Courtney took it in to give the ‘Noles an 8-0 lead.

The Seminoles led 8-7 after Georgia Tech responded with a six-play, 79-yard scoring drive.
