Florida State lands one of the transfer portal’s top wide receivers

FSU makes a big move.

Florida State made a big move on Sunday, landing former Southern Cal wide receiver Duce Robinson from the transfer portal. At 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, Robinson brings the kind of size, skill, and production that can majorly impact the Seminoles’ offense.

Robinson spent two seasons at USC, where he totaled 39 catches for 747 yards and seven touchdowns. This past season, he hauled in 23 receptions for 396 yards and five scores. Robinson, A two-sport athlete, played baseball for the Trojans, showing off the athleticism that made him a five-star recruit and one of the top prospects in the 2023 class.

The Arizona native isn’t just a huge get for Florida State—he’s also a familiar name. Robinson’s father, Dominic Robinson, was a two-sport star at FSU from 2001-2004. Head coach Mike Norvell couldn’t contain his excitement, calling Duce “one of the most unique and explosive playmakers in the country” and praising his ability to create mismatch nightmares for defenses.

With Robinson in the fold, the Seminoles are adding a game-changer to their offense. He’ll join new quarterback Thomas Castellanos, who transferred from Boston College, giving FSU plenty of firepower heading into next season.
